To give their 18-year-old daughter a private, fully accessible space, we built a basement suite starting with an elevator and a wet bathroom featuring all-tile finishes, a roll-in shower, hair-washing sink, and a hand-washing sink. We coordinated designs with the hospital Occupational Therapist and verified details with our in-house Occupational Therapist, then added easy-to-operate doors and switches plus a crafts area and space for friends. The client selected tiles and paint to personalize the suite, allowing family presence for care while granting her independence.
